The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has been taken at the same rate as recorded on 04.05.2012 which was US$ 112.55/bbl.
In rupee terms, however, the crude oil price was lower at Rs 6003.42 on 07.5.2012 as compared to Rs 6046.19 perbbl on 04.05.2012. This decrease was due to rupee appreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 7.5.2012 at Rs53.34/US$ against Rs 53.72//US$ on 04.05.2012.
